From “Showrooms that Sell” in Glass Magazine, December 2002:
The Carolina Glass & Mirror showroom includes…a curved glass bath enclosure installed in a mosaic tile setting, with a Grohe shower bar attached to the glass using UV glue. For another display, Opti-White glass, which provides clarity not available with standard heavy glass, encloses a decorative design using tumbled marble. A neo-angled frameless shower door shows off mitered glass on both the hinge and strike side of the door and panels. A frameless door with a pivoting vent is installed on a fully operational steam shower. We have fun showing off the steam generator. |

From “Glass Act Offers Reflections” in The Business Journal, December 27, 2002:
Handle with care. It’s good advice when it comes to developing business relationships in the industry, say David Fitchett and Mike Wilkins. That philosophy has helped the co-owners of Garner-based Carolina Glass and Mirror grow the company, which specializes in selling and installing upscale glass and mirror products…From the beginning, the duo has emphasized making personal connections with builders, remodelers, customers and even competitors.
“We’ve built relationships with people,” Wilkins says. “The people we deal with, they know what they want and we can give it to them.”

From “Networking” in Glass Magazine, October 2003:
David Fitchett had an idea: If he could sit down and talk with people like him who were dealing with the same kinds of business situations, he could gain information and insight into how to run his business better.
David Fitchett had a solution: He started a network of peers called Glass Professionals Forum, a national educational group for glass entrepreneurs. The mission…is to enhance the personal and professional lives of the members through the sharing of experiences. Fitchett…approached the National Glass Association about taking over the program and expanding it so that all NGA members across the country could have the same opportunities.
